  • Timestamps: We store the date and time when you create or update your profile, listings, or messages, to support moderation and platform integrity.
  • Cookies: Used strictly for login sessions and authentication purposes. No tracking or advertising cookies are used.
  • Analytics Data: We use Google Analytics to understand general usage patterns (such as page views, time spent, and device/browser types). This data is collected in aggregated form and does not personally identify you.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To authenticate users via Google Sign-In;
  • To verify your identity and professional affiliation using your corporate work email address;
  • To display your profile, listings, and messages on the platform;

  • File Storage: Uploaded images are stored securely on our file system, with access restricted only to authorized personnel.
  • Authentication: Passwords are never stored on our servers, as authentication is handled exclusively through Google Sign-In.
  • Access Control: Only the site owner has access to the server and database credentials. We implement strict access controls to prevent unauthorized access.
  • Security Measures: We use industry-standard security practices, such as encrypted connections (HTTPS), and regular software updates to safeguard your data.

4. Third-Party Services

To provide and maintain our services, we use the following trusted third-party providers:

  • Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics to collect aggregated and anonymized data about site traffic and user behavior, such as page views, session duration, and device information. This helps us understand how users interact with Reselby and improve the platform. Google Analytics does not provide us with personally identifiable information.
  • Mailgun: We use Mailgun to send transactional emails, such as account verification codes, notifications, and updates. Your email address is shared with Mailgun only to ensure delivery of these messages and is not used for marketing or other purposes.

We use cookies to enhance your experience on Reselby, specifically:

  • Your messages will remain in conversations with other users to preserve context and continuity, but your name and profile will no longer be associated with them.
  • Some anonymized or system-level data may be retained for moderation, audit, and platform integrity purposes.
